Save it for your future trip and read more about Penang in my many articles in the link in bio! 🇬🇧 George Town has such a fantastic quirky vibe 🤩 it’s clear that its inhabitants have fun with their city. 🇬🇧 Wandering around George Town you'll find many pieces of street art 🎨 that give the city a great vibe! The most famous are from Lithuanian artist Ernest Zacharevic, known for mixing his paintings with real objects from the street. Find them all! 🇬🇧 Penang is a foodie's paradise 😍 Here are some of the things that we ate in Penang. You can find out what and where to eat in Penang in the articles I wrote about it in the link in bio! 🇬🇧 Another one of my street food favourites in Penang is Wonton Mee. This dish consists of egg noodles with wonton dumplings, and it can be served dry with oyster sauce and char siu or in a soup. It is one of my go-to comfort food 🥰 🇬🇧 Hawker food is king in Penang, but none of it is as representative as char kway teow. This street food wonder is made of stir fried rice noodles with prawns, cockles, Chinese chives, Chinese sausage and egg, and soaked in a sauce of garlic, light and dark soy sauce and chili paste 😍 Is you mouth watering? 🇬🇧 One of the most unique places in Penang are the Clan Jetties in George Town. They are villages built over water by immigrant Chinese clans in the 19th century. The jetties retain Chinese traditional culture, with temples built both at the beginning and end of the jetty. Have you ever visited a floating village? 🌊🏘 🇬🇧 Besides Fort Cornwallis, there are many more examples of colonial architecture scattered around George Town, Malaysia. Find them all!
